The ulu is the traditional knife of alaskan Natives, used by the Inupiat, yupik, & Aleut peoples for over 4,000 years.

Traditional uses for the ulu include everything from sewing to igloo building. Originally, blades were made of jade, slate, or bone. This ulu has been fitted with a fine, double-beveled, 440 stainless steel blade. Its handle & base are made from genuine Dymond wood, consisting of twenty-one layers of individually colored, pressurized, & cross-laminated birchwood. Dymond wood is prized for its strength, durability, & beauty. It should be treated as any other fine cutlery: washed by hand with warm, soapy water & dried properly.

This ulu was assembled by hand in the U.S.A., with a portion of proceeds benefitting U.S. Veterans.
